Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default 1966 Fairlane trunk letters.
Does anyone know if the F-O-R-D trunk letters and the F-O-R-D hood letters are the same? I have a nos set but the package says hood and the letters are all chrome, no black inside the letters. Can I use these for the trunk? Would it be correct?

I would think there are casting or engineering #'s on the backside of each letter. If they match the #'s on you OE ones, then I'd say "yes".
