Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default 67 fairlane hood scoops.

I like the look of the long hood scoops as fitted on some of the 67 Fairlanes but the price of them (if they can even be found) has made me decide to try and reproduce a pair in fibreglass for my '67 Ranchero.

Not having set to copy does however make this difficult. But, not impossible.

I got the overall length and width measurements from a set for sale on Ebay but require the height and detail measurements. I figure that if I am going to make set I may as well try and make them as correct as possible. Does anyone have a set of these on their car that they can supply further measurements and angles from ?

Another thing is the lights as fitted to the rear of these scoops. I feel I should be able to adapt something but wonder do these lights come on with the headlites? If so wouldn't they be distracting

Any help would be appreciated..................

Oh, and yes, I did see the set for sale on Ebay at the moment eBay but with the exchange rate they work out to cost me about (NZ)$1200 without freight.

Thumbs up I got what you want!

I live in Napa, California and have the hood scoops you are looking for! Unfortunately I am not willing to part with them, but I'd be willing to get the measurements you need. Shoot me an email at accellheat@gmail.com and let me know what measurements you want. A pic would be great for preciseness.

I have finished making the scoops. I cut up a set of indicator lens from some unsuspecting wreck and made the lights to go on the rear.

Just awaiting getting the scoops painted and then comes the hard part. Drilling holes in the hood.

I have also made some trim for the rear out of some alloy.

I'd say you did a pretty damn good job. Looks nice. My dad sold a set of original ones a year ago for 100 bucks. Too cheap compared to that set on ebay huh!
