Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default What size tires are you using?

I have a 66 500 XL convertible and plan to use a set of the 66 "styled" chrome wheels. They are 14's and believe the back space is stock. The question I have is, will 215/60/14's fit up front and 245/60/14's fit on the back?

I have steel 14's on it now with bias ply 195/75/14's on it now with original hubcaps and hate the look. Thanks for any help

Your only way to know is figure out the backspacing on the wheel, how wide it is, how wide the tire is(sidewall width) and do a bunch of measuring on the car. That is what I just did not long ago but is on one of our race cars. I moved the springs inside of the frame rails and made room for 10" aluminum pro stars with 6 1/2 of backspacing on an 11 inch slick. My measuring worked but it was tight.
