Ford FairlaneFord Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
Hey guys, getting real close to putting on some new rims/tires and wanted your input and thoughts.
--Currently 66 Ford Fairlane 500 XL convt. with 215/70/14's
--Was looking at Magnum 500's or Torq Thrust D's sizes 225/50/16 for the front and 255/60/16 for back (16x8's). Any suggestions??
--Have a Mustang II front end with disc brakes/power steering
Think I will have any issues with rubbing??? Can I go with the standard 4.5 backspacing??? Magnum's or Torq Thrust D's??--If I get the Magnum's, I was going to get this spinners for the classic power look. The TTD's look good also, but are really common and on alot of the other classics down here.
Most of the research I have done on the net (including at Woody's site) says this will be o.k but want a second opinion before I pay for such a large order.
