Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default Need Help With Ladder Bar Install On 68' Torino

O.k., so Ive already typed this post up, but the forum logged me out before I finished so now you get the more brief version.

Ive got a 68' Torino and I bought a set of Ladder Bars a few years ago that I believe to be Lakewood. Now these arent the basic type of ladder bar either, they seem much more involved, and a few have thought that it may be some type of rear coil spring/coilover conversion.

Heres a picture, theres more parts involved, but this is just to show you what type of Ladder Bar Im dealing with.

thoes i believe are for a vehicle with a coil spring application. If your vehicle has leaf springs they probably wont work. you could eliminate the leafs, fashion in coils, use frame connectors, but since you have a unibody, that would not be a wise road to follow, unless you are planning to make it a race car.
the only option sold for leaf springs are traction bars, and heavier leaf springs. Sell them to someone with coil springs.(My opinion only)
hope this helps
