Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Exclamation 1964 thunderbolt clone

I just bought my first project car, a 1964 fairlane 500 with automatic sweet six. My dad has got the idea of turning it into a thunderbolt clone with some big block power, the bigger the better. We have been looking around at the fiberglass body parts and we were thinking to ourselves why dont we try and make the parts our selves ( hood, fenders, trunk lid,),using the original body parts to make a mold and using the mold to make fiberglass parts. My dad and I have no clue about fiberglass and wether or not this is a reasonable idea. What do you think ? and if you know of any websites or books I should check out about fiberglass body parts please let me know.

Probably cheaper and easier to go to Crites and buy it. Or buy off e-bay. or other Ford sites.
