Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default 1960 Fairlane motor ?

i just received a 1960 Fairlane from my brother. What I am trying to figure out is how to determine what motor is in it. i know its a v8. I have tried searching online but 1960 doesnt seem to b a popular year for this car, at least not for answers. i dont know much about classic cars yet, but am learning every day with this one. Also is there a good parts site for this car? I have been looking for a power steering hose for it and cant seem to locate one anywhere. Any help would b appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looks to me like 292 or 312, but i can't really see it well. Does coolant travel through the intake? If not I would say its a 292 or 312. If coolant does travel through the intake, do the valve covers cover part of the intake manifold

If the valve covers look like they are overlapping the intake,it's a 352.If the valve covers have two bolts holding them on(down through the top on each end)it's a 292/312.
