Ford FairlaneFord Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
I currently have a 460 with a C6 and want to install a toploader. The car is an original 390 4 speed. It still has the pedal assembly. I have a top loader. Does anyone have this combination 460/4speed in there car?

As for the small input shaft, I bought a small input trans from a gentleman who is running one behind a 500 hp 427 FE motor. The 56 Custom was running 10 inch slicks and broke a 28 spline axle but not the input shaft. Obviously the bigger would be desireable but they're like hen's teeth therefore very expensive.
