Ford FairlaneFord Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
Hey I have a 1963 Ford Fairlane that i am in the proccess of restoring/modifyng. Right now it has the original 260 V8 in it with a three speed on the floor. I have been told by several people that a 351w would line right up to the existing engine mounts and I would not have to cut anything out? I am just wanting to talk to someone who has a lot of knowledge about these cars and knows for sure. I am also wondering what kind manual tranny would be best or if I should keep the one i have? Thanks a lot!!!
