I have a 1964 falcon 4dr. and it keeps overheating. I have an electric fan on it andi took out the thermastat to let the water free flow but its still getting too hot. I have no idea what else i should do so any help would be good.
You might run a water hose through the water jacket while the thermostat is out. I had to flush my 144 when I first got it. But it really sounds like your water pump isn't doing it's job. Especially if it's still hot without a thermostat.
