Default Distributor firing sequence problems

Hey, I just bought a black '61 Falcon Futura a few weeks ago. Resto has gone smoothly but we are having some problems with the firing/ignition sequence. We have the shop manual and other texts as a guide, so I know the firing sequence should be 153624, but the sequence in my Falcon is currently 536241. I'm not sure why this is, maybe someone took the distributor out and rotated it when they put it back in? I'd rather not play with fire and try to take it out and rotate it again until it gets back to the original sequence, does anyone have any advice/thoughts on this issue and how to fix it? The engine is running strong otherwise. Thanks!
