Default Air Cleaner for a '61?
My Falcon didn't come with an air cleaner or the filter. I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find the cleaner anywhere. The filter that goes inside is easy to get at any auto parts store, but the container (which I assume is called an air cleaner, but not 100% sure about the terminology) has so far been impossible to find. Does anyone know where I can find one of these? All I've found is air cleaners for the V8 Falcons, but none for the straight six. Thanks!

I have off of a 62 144cid. Haven't really looked at it, but, I'm sure it nice. The car only had 82,000 miles on it last year when I yanked the motor. Does $30 plus shipping sound fair?

Yep, they are getting rare. Don't overlook other early Falcon six engine applications like the early Econoline.

Hey, sorry I've neglected this topic. I thought I had one lined up, but the throat on my carb was too big. I'm looking for an air cleaner to fit a carb with a throat that's 2.25 inches wide.

at napa auto parts they sell a little chrome air cleaner for like ten bucks with multi fit adapters thats what i did on my bros 63
