Default 62 Falcon Wiper Arm Removal?

Anyone give me a tip on doing this? Do they just snap off or is there a hidden spring release somewhere underneath? I want to remove the whole arm from the studs by the windshield. I don't want to force them off the stud unless that's the way it's done. Thanks
