Default Rear Deck Cover

I am looking for a rear deck cover for a '68 Futura, 4 door. Got a dash cover from "Dash Designs" (very good fit, etc. recommend this company if you need a cover), but they only have a rear deck cover for a 2 door. If anyone out there w/a 2 door could send me the measurements on your r/deck I would appreciate it. Or if there is another source for deck covers, would appreciate that info, too. Thnx!

Easy fix -

Use newspaper or "kraft" paper to make the pattern for the deck part. Make a new part from water proof "masonite" (that brand is getting hard to find but there are other brands on the market).

Cover the new part with auto carpeting, black foam backed headliner material, etc.

Only real tool you will need is a saber saw or band saw to cut the material. That's one of the first items that auto upholstery classes cover, easy to do and cheaper then looking for and buying a repop.

Hey, thanks for a great idea. This '68 is a "grandkid" project (if you want to drive it, you work on it) and that is something that they can handle just fine.

Yep, the newspaper/kraft paper is the way the pro shops make the templates. You can do the same thing using poster board if you find the paper too flimsy to work with (or transfer the paper pattern to poster board).

Just remember, triple check the template's fit BEFORE cutting.
