Challenging? I guess pop rivets and simple forms made out of sheet metal can challange some people.

Form a circle out of sheet material, add brackets to attache the circle in front or rear of the radiator and some sheet material around the outer edge of the circle to restrict air movement in those areas. Pop rivet to gether and bolt to car.

As I have mentioned, there was a detailed story recently in one of the street rod oriented magazines and other articles on the subject have appeared now and then.

From experience i have found that locating a shroud from a later year auto can be frustrating as just in the Ford line-up the shoruds vary far too much in size and overall shape. It's cheaper and quicker to look at other shrouds for guidence and then use the info to make your on custom shroud.

But what do I know, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty...

The Black Magic fans have their own shrouds and pull around 2500 cfm more or less. Flex-a-lite Automotive Cooling Division

Like I said I had one of these in my Mustang with no issues and no stock shroud. I know lots of people who use these with no shroud and no overheating issues.

I have a Flex-a-lite Black Magic Fan on my Country Sedan Wagon. Works great, but with only about two inches of clearance no fan I have looked at will fit.

A shroud would certainly help, but I wondered the first time I saw this thread if in fact you may need a new radiator, more than you need a shroud? Did this car run and not overheat with this same setup for years?

mid to late 90's ford taurus 3 speed fan.. best electric fan ever.. better than all of the aftermarket ones and best thing is is that they are in the junk yards cheap.. make sure you get the wiring harness. if you want to know how to do it.. pm me and i will get you my number..

I forgot to mention that it and its shroud fit perfectly over the falcon radiator with very little modifications.

What are the measurements of this setup?? I only have a couple inches of clearance between the water pump and the radiator.

The factory two core radiator still looks good. I have only had the car for about a month now and while it has not overheated yet, if I am sitting in traffic I watch the temp gauge start to climb. It is pretty cool out here in Southern California right now, but when it starts to heat up and I use the AC I want to be prepared.
