Ford Festiva The Ford Festiva was introduced for 1988. Three trim levels were offered: L, L Plus, and LX. The Festiva's 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine switched from carburetion to fuel injection in 1989-90. For '90, a 5-speed manual transmission was standard and a 3-speed automatic optional. Festivas got a fresh grille and taillamps for 1990, and motorized front shoulder belts replaced manual belts.

Arrow 93 starting issues, please help input needed

hello to all, just bought the car, do not know too much about it. It drove home fine about a 50 mile trip. I did notice hesitation on the way home.
I did a cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs and it was okay for about a day.
Noticed more hesitation when it was cold. So I kept driving the car for about three days, approx 200 miles, on the way home it died on the X way. after about 5 minutes it started up got it home. Now it is dead.
It turns over just fine
it gets fuel
I checked the ignition module OK
I checked for pulse signal from module OK
I am not getting spark from the coil
I replaced coil with new one and it started up BUT here's the kicker
it ran for about 20 seconds(perfectly) then idled down and died
I started it again and it fired up for about 5 sec then DEAD
NOW it is just turning over like before NO spark?????????
What gives did I burn the new coil??? and what would cause it to burn???
oh yeah it is a automatic w/106,000 miles
PLEAZE helpppp me I am going bonkers trying to figure it out and the chilton/haynes manuals are NOT that specific. I am mechanically inclined but not familiar with the Festiva Thanks to all.

I would replace the coil wire as have found it can cause intermittent starting issues.
