Ford Festiva The Ford Festiva was introduced for 1988. Three trim levels were offered: L, L Plus, and LX. The Festiva's 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine switched from carburetion to fuel injection in 1989-90. For '90, a 5-speed manual transmission was standard and a 3-speed automatic optional. Festivas got a fresh grille and taillamps for 1990, and motorized front shoulder belts replaced manual belts.

Default New Festiva fans

Ive been driving a Ford Festiva since I bought mine new in 1993. I love my car ! Its been the best car Ive ever owned, and Ive owned a lot. Ive taken a lot of flack about it for the past 15 years. Lately, almost daily now that gas has got to $4.00 per gal, I get asked if Id like to sell my festiva. My response is always the same ....NO !! The festiva has to be the most reliable, underestimated overacheiver ever. I own ten now and none of them are for sale. To bad more people didnt latch on to one when the everyone was buying up SUVs. Mines paid the sticker price over and over again and keeps on doing so. Too bad they arent still being made, people seem to want one now. My festiva from Nov of 2007 at a festiva meet in STL.

Default I think I've seen your site

Surely there can't be that many people who have TEN Festivas! I think I ran across your web site recently. Did you recently acquire a black (or charcoal maybe) Festiva with a red stripe that said "booger" on it?

I got a 1989 Festiva about a month ago from a neighbor. She bought it new and took good care of it. I bought it for my son and have been driving it until he can get a job and a driver's license. I normally drive a Honda Odyssey or Buell Blast motorcycle, but once I tried the Festiva I didn't want to drive anything else. Last weekend I forced myself to drive my van, as it had sat for three weeks. Today I rode my motorcycle.

Here's a picture. I have more on my MySpace page. MySpace.com - TPoP - 41 - Female - NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS - www.myspace.com/tpopart

I found that domain site through yours and decided to make one, and then forgot all about it until you just mentioned it. Now I'll have to find it and bookmark it! I didn't know this color was rare. My son said he has seen a white one and a reddish one in our area. I wouldn't mind getting another one.

Yes - I remember the pictures of when you got Booger. Haha - cute name.

My son has to get a job before he can drive this one, so for now I am driving it and saving on gas. I found out there are rumors at work that I crashed my minivan and had to get the Festiva to drive. I haven't driven my van to work in over a month.
