Engine fuse-1988 festiva L Hello Folks, I have just acquired one 1988 Ford Festiva from my friend, he had 3 of these little cars, I needed one due to the high price of Gas, thus far, I am in the process of replacing the axles, pulling side (complete) getting ready to do the other side this Saturday. This is a dandy little machine, 128,000 miles, plugs white, burns no oil after 2100 miles. Running about 60-65 mph. I also replaced the plugs, and wires, new air filter, the reason I replaced the plugs and wires, is that the little car was running, the engine would race up and down, I would turn the white neopreme knob on back of the carb, I could set it down, and the engine would die. Turn it clockwise and the car would idle fast, and when you are driving, when slowing down it surges. WE ARE finally getting to the problem, but thought I would give you a little history. I checked the fuses, and found the Engine fuse was blown, I replaced and this little car ran perfect for about 10 miles, then it blew the fuse, and started running erratic again. What is this little fuse do?? What do I do to fix this, and where do I start looking. Thanks in advance, Sincerely, m48tankerman |
