Ford FocusOverall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. It's fun to drive, however, with agile handling. It's comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling.
I own a 2001 focus 4 dr sedan with zetec 2.0. It is the street edition with 5spd manual and 6cd stereo and sport wheels etc. I drive like crazy and have over 200,000 miles in 4 years and the car has been great. I have had a few recalls and some repairs that you would expect with this mileage. I am getting ready to purchase replacement and I test drove current Focus and I understand that they are 75% more reliable that the year model I have now! Of course this is the dealer talk. I would recommend this car.
The Focus is a fantastic little car. Great on economy and very well built. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Incidently, do you guys get the Focus STi out there in the States? The STi is a great performance car and best in its class of hot hatches.
