Ford FocusOverall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. It's fun to drive, however, with agile handling. It's comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling.
My wife was driving down a slight incline very slowly this afternoon. She tries to apply the brakes, brake pedal will not move like it is frozen, check engine light comes on, car is still running and in drive. She kicks it in to nuetral, standing with 2 feet on the brake pedal, brakes are still not working. The car is almost stopped, rolling very slowly now, she crams the shifter into park and the car car comes to a jerking halt, check engine light still on, car is still running. She does a restart and everything comes back to life. What the F***, She is very hesitant now to drive it, The Ford dealership is closed, car has 3/4 tank of fuel, battery was serviced by Ford a week ago. This car is like new only has 29k on it. Anybody help?
Thanks for the replies. I plugged in a code reader this morning, Nothing, no codes, I am questioning now if the car was actually running or was it stalled?, but if it stalled why? Going over it more today, thanks again.
We tried reproducing the solid brake pedal yesterday, Switching off the ignition while moving, brakes still can be appiled with little efforort. I am wondering now if there is something that could cause the brake system to lock up the brake pedal (not allowing the pedal to be pushed) in the ABS circuit
