Ford FocusOverall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. It's fun to drive, however, with agile handling. It's comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling.
Hello!
I recently purchased a 2003 ford focus zx3. Within a few days, i noticed that the drivers door does not lock when I push the lock button from within the car, or on the remote. I can lock the door manually by pushing the lock over, or outside the car with the key itself. Can anyone give me an idea how to fix this problem? Thanks a bunch!!
Where did you get it from? If it was a dealer, they should fix it for you!! If not, then I would say it is an electrical problem...I'll try to find some answers for ya...
If you are handy, get a Haynes Manual (#36034), it is excellent. From this distance it sounds like the solenoid operated door lock has failed. Its not a big job
Good luck
my dealer would only cover 50% of the cost -- I think I can purchase the parts and fix it myself cheaper than the 50% plus the gas to get there.
I'll try purchasing a manual. If you have any tips, etc please let me know! Thanks for your help!
