Ford Focus Overall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. It's fun to drive, however, with agile handling. It's comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling.

Question Questions on my focus

Hello all. Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix front brakes including rotors and such for my 2002 focus. Wondering what kind of job it is, what tools are needed, and how many hours it's gonna take me. I'm new at fixing cars but love it. Also, if anyone knows how to install air conditioning. What i would need and if it is possible at all.
Let me know.

I did my front brakes and rotors recently. It's pretty simple. You need a decent tool set, nothing special though. A 7mm allen wrench for sliders. A c-clamp to close caliper. It took me about 45 minutes on each side.

"Also, if anyone knows how to install air conditioning. What i would need and if it is possible at all." Possible but you would have a heck of a time with it because it entails many facets of mechanics and electrical plus charging the system with Freon. IMO not a job for a rookie so take it to an after market AC place and let them do it. The brakes aren't that hard but I'd have a certified mechanic supervise your work because you are messing with a number one safety item there and a mistake could be quite costly in many respects to a wreck or possibly serious injury or death to you or others. A fan belt breaks and you can deal with that. Your brakes fail and you are in deep yogurt. Think about it; is it really worth it? Have it done by a certified mechanic and ask them to let you watch and they probably will.
