Default Tranny fluid change 05 SE DOHC ZX3.

Does it have a pan to drop and change gasket and filter or just a plug to let the old fluid out. Does the torque converter retain a lot of the fluid or should I go to Ford dealer and get a tranny flush. I know there's a lot of controversy about changing vs flushing and just like to know what the Focus owners prefer. 43.5K on it now and like to keep the tranny shifting smooth the way it does now and I say it''s better to spend a $100. for a flush than $1,200. for a rebuild. DUH?

dont flush it
keep it till it hits 50 k then flush u have to drop pan and filter and its a pain if u want a diagram from all data i can supply

I 'preciate it and had a 03 Taurus so somewhat familiar with the issues of change or flush. Drop the pan? Nope, not me, I'm to old and already pulled more than my share of wrenches. Local Ford dealer is OK and gets $100. to flush and I'll tell them to clean the valve body to and should be good to go for another 40 - 50K mi.

OH! I want to clean the MAFS and on the ribber duct I can't figure out which one it is. First, second, etc. Would you please tell me which one it is? I cleaned the Taurus but never a Focus. I looked down in the tube and the round piece looks shiny like new.
