Ford FocusOverall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. It's fun to drive, however, with agile handling. It's comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling.
You guys can save some money next time this happens. I've never hit the eject button while mine has jammed. When the CD jams next time, wait for the player to click a couple of times when it's trying to eject your disk. Then slide a laminated card (i.e. Blockbuster video card works best) into the disk slot and gently pull the card back out. The stuck disk will come out.
You may have to repeat this a couple of times, but it does work.
Please Hepl!!!, I manage to get all CDs out, now the problem is the CD exchanger clicks and makes turning sound but will not load and the error I get is "Slut Full".
can this error be reset? I pulled out the fuses several times, no result.
I pulled a Pioneer/Ford 6CD out of a '04 Ranger to install in an '03 Ranger. It worked well in the '04 and after installing in the '03 I too get a SLOTS FULL error plus a B263 error. I've tried all of the presented reset "tricks" to no avail. Suggestions or does anyone know what B263 means? BTW you can easily make that U shaped tool out of a coathanger.

you could also try a local audio shop and see if they what they say about the error code and clicking noise.

Another add here is, there is an issue with the 6 CD drive COg for the ejector being out of sync due to the fact that it is not all the way on and about to come off, or if it is no longer ejecting anything, has already come off. Unplug the power to the radio, this will prepare the unit for a rest when it comes back on for initialization. Take the radio out and remove the top shell, you will have 1 small 2 wire control cable to remove, then open the shell, you will find the cog laying in the unit or in the window to the rear right of the unit where the cogs slide shaft is, it looks like you won't be able to get it back on but you can, with some soft nose needle nose, press the spiral cog back on the shaft until it stops, may take a little force but don't squueze to hard and damage the cog groove, trust me it will go back, I have fixed many of these. be cautions not to rip out the ribbion control cable in this part of the unit while doing this, when putting it back with the lower power amplifier base unit remember to plug back n the two wired cable, after all is put back together plug in the antenna connector firrst then plug the two connectors on the back of the radio inner most first and then out, turn on teh ignition switch and wath the unit you should see it reset or go into initialize, this is programmed in teh prom to check each slot level to update the CD slot indicator I hpe this resolves your problem
I would suggest replacing the cd changers You can also find clever little modules that adapt the cd changer socket on the back of your stereo into a jack input that will allow you to input almost any device into your system, Just check the ford model here and google for a auxiliary module. Save a few $$$ too. te

I have a 2003 Ford Focus and have MP3 capabilities so at least as far back as 2003. Of course, I've discovered that after playing MP3 discs for about 30 minutes - the player starts skipping and having troubles reading the disc. It doesn't have this problem for regular CD's - only MP3's. Odd..
My 6cd/mp3 loads/ejects without issue... but has gone on strike and WON'T play the CD's. Right now I have the battery disconnected to see if this will help, hadn't seen the CD/Eject=reset before and hope I don't have to try that as well!
I had the same problem with my wife's 2001 Windstar.
I got the "CD ERROR" complaint and was not able to eject or play any cd's (fully loaded 6 player so no attempts to load cds). I noticed that the CD door was still open so I gently inserted a credit card and slid side to side, my cds started ejecting, (earlier I hit eject for several slots when observing the problem), and player is now working as expected.
After continued reading on this website saw another post about using movie rental card, if I have to do it again I wil use my Blockbuster card.
