rear caliper problems

Hello, this is my first post. I have an 04 Monterey (I know, this is for FreeStars, but all the parts are the same, and this was the best forum I found ) I have to replace the rear passenger caliper because it is locking up, but I do not know how to get the e-brake cable loose to reconnect to the new one. I see that the rubber guide that the cable runs through should come out of the caliper, but I do not know how to get the tension loose from the cable to unhook it from the caliper. Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: So I figured out that you just pull on the cable until you get it off of there. My issue now is this. Two Sundays ago, I had changed my back brake pads and rotors because they were completely gone. After that, my pass rear caliper was not allowing the wheel to roll except under vehicle pressure, and the wheel itself would get very hot because of the dragging. So I had someone tell me that it sounds like a caliper issue because the other side was fine. So I ordered a new caliper for the pass rear side, and after replacing it, and bleeding the lines, the driver side is now locking up. Am I doing something wrong, or did I just have another caliper go out, or did I ever have a bad caliper?
