Exclamation Need help with a blinking dash light!!

I just bought a 2005 ford freestar. There is a little red light on the center of the dash, up towards the windshield that has been blinking for several hours now. Anyone who can enlighten me on this?

Thanks!

Do you no what the light is? could it be the check engine light? if so go to your mecanic andhave it looked at. It might also be a problem with the coputer and you will have to get someone to flush the codes and re-enter them. Saw the same thing on a Pontiac Montana.

Default Anti theft?

I found in the manual where there is a theft indicator located on top of the instrument panel. When the ignition is in the off position, the indicator will flash once every 2 seconds to indicate the SecuriLock system is functioning as a theft deterrent. So, I guess its supposed to do that?

Thanks for the response
