Default Seatbelt Reminder

Is there a way to turn off the seatbelt reminder?

Wear it! Serisouly though, I didn't wear seat belts until we had kids. Our Pediatrition stated that "there's little use in keeping the kids strapped up if Mommy & Daddy aren't safe". We never go w/o now.

But, I have always wondered your question about new Fords. Would it work to stick some piece of metal into the seat belt socket (female end), or buy/cut a male seat belt clasp from a salvage yard? Just a thought...

In your owners manual under seatbelt reminder it tells you how to deactivate the buzzing noise but it will leave the red light on, until you put the belt on. I have tried the program to do it and its very tricky!!!!!!!!! The other thing is take it too a dealer and get them to do it.
