The factory manual says to open the line to the cooler, and pump 10+ quarts of ATF through the tranny to flush it. That has to be awfully inefficient. Since the converter holds most of the ATF, is there a drain plug in it?
The '04 Monty with 4.2 has 80K miles, and one or two ATF changes, so I'm going to drop the pan and replace the filter, as well as flush it best I can. Suggestions appreciated.
