You're probably all tired of hearing me complain about the problems of my Monty, so I'd like to make a fun, positive topic. (In all reality, I actually do have a love/hate relationship with this van. It's caused me a lot of problems, but for some odd reason, I still love the heck out of the looks, the luxury, the comfort, and the great looking front grill). And that there are so few Monty's on the road so I feel like I'm driving something unique. Anyone ever notice how rare these are? There's got to be 1 Monty for about every 20 Freestars for about every 50 Windstars for about every 100 Dodge Caravans.
So does any other Monterey owners other than me (or am I a weirdo) get excited when you see a fellow Monterey on the road? I even yell "there goes a Monterey" sometimes!

Like last night, my wife laughed at me because I was excited because I was actually following a Monterey up a state highway near my house for about 10 miles. Two Montereys in a row! LOL Then even funnier was a tow truck passed us and got between us and I made a comment "see, even the tow trucks are smart enough to follow these things in case they break down."
It is fun, though, driving a rare minivan, isn't it? Two vehicles of mine ago was also a rare bird. A 2004 Kia Optima. The new Optimas are now much more common. The old ones were rare. But heck I think I even see more of those than Monty's. Interesting stuff.
