Malfunctioning Auto Door Locks

Has anyone else ever experienced malfunctioning locks on the sliding doors? Often the locks on our 2004 Freestar will fail to engage or disengage when the lock button is actuated; an electronic buzzing noise can be heard from behind the door panels, but the lock knobs do not move, or only move slightly. It seems that the problem began shortly after we had to jump start the vehicle (a process which Ford seems to have made rather difficult with this vehicle) and I'm wondering if the lock motors might have been damaged. I had the same problem, i bought the extented warrenty and ford replaced the actuator motor for the locks.
