Ford Freestyle The Ford Freestyle's roofline stands at 68 inches off the ground, and Ford has declined to put a label on it, either SUV or sedan. Keeping the Freestyle tall and offering all-wheel-drive seems to be attactive to non-SUV and non-Sedan car owners, and the Freestyle comes with low ground clearance, unibody construction, independent suspension and a overhead cam engine.

HELP! My mother and I are very frustrated. She has had her Ford Freestyle for 2 years and for 1 1/2 years, she has had the same problem with no resolution from our dealership (they have tried), but they have been unable to replicate the problem so they are unable to fix it. When you are driving and you either slow down at a light or to turn it will just cut off completely. If you either put it in park or neutral and crank the car again it will go, but after it happens once during a particular trip, you have to basically keep your left foot on the brake and rev the engine with your right foot in order to keep the car from cutting off. PLEASE tell me that someone else has had the same problem and knows what it is so that I can get my dealership some direction. It is very scary because sometimes it has cut off on me while I am in a turn lane waiting to turn left across traffic. It seems to happen more often when it is very hot outside and when you have been driving for a little while. I hope someone has some advice.
