Changing oil on 07 fusion I4

I am going to change the oil for the first time on my fusion. Was wondering where the oil filter is located? Also, I heard people are having problems with motorcraft oil filters, and I am also hearing that the napa wix filter is the one to use with the fusion......any feedback on this issue?

No problems with Motorcraft filters. They are good filters and sold at discount prices at Walmart. Nothing wrong with Wix filters either.

That engine uses a cartridge filter, not a spin on.

This pictorial is for a Mazda3, but the 2.3L engine is pretty much identical to the one in you Fusion. Skip the section on the 2.0L engine and go right to the section on the 2.3L
