Ford Fusion The Ford Fusion is an excellent choice among midsize sedans and should not be overlooked. The Fusion was introduced as an all-new vehicle for 2006 and it's a superb car. It handles well, looks purposeful, it's comfortable, and it delivers good value. Furthermore, the all-wheel-drive Ford Fusion extremely stable on wet pavement.

Hi guys,
Seen a ford fusion today for the first time, (I don`t go out much). It`s about 2004 and I thought it was a great looking car, kinda jeepy looking. So now I`m checking up on them. There seems to be a lot for sale with the 1.4 engines, I assume there is a reason. Possibly to small an engine for the fusion?
Would appreciate help as I`ve never spent £6000 on a car before!
Thanks,
S`Bow..

I bought my fusion I-4 auto in 2006. I tried out the v6 for 3 days before buying the I-4. The 6 ran great but got only 17 mpg. After a year of mostly city driving I average 26mpg {31 highway}on my fusion. I love this 4 banger. It is not a race engine but it moves the fusion along without effort. Unlike many I-4's this mazda engine has no timing belt to worry about changing or breaking. It runs off a chain. I like to do my own service and upkeep on my vehicles and this motor is very easy to service. The v6 was so tight you could work on nothing under the hood.. aLSO AFTER 2 YEARS ON THE ROAD THE FUSION STILL RANKS ABOVE THE CAMRY IN RELIABILTY in consumer reports mag. Trust me you will love the I-4 fusion if you buy one.
