Ford Galaxie The Ford Galaxie has effortless V8 performance, bulletproof mechanicals and great value make 30-year old Galaxie increasingly desirable with true-blue collectors. Any fullsize Ford disc brake setup will bolt up-'65-'72.

Thank you. this is the kind of info that I need. I've seen convertion kits, but most don't go up to '68. They tend to fall short somewhere around 65 or 67. SSBC makes a kit for the '65. Would it bolt up, and would I have to swap out the spindles?

I don't think they will work w/o some mods.

As I understand it, the big Ford cars = 60-64 is one chassis, the 65-72 is one chassis, the 73-78 is another but uses 5 on 5 bolt patterns.

66-71 Fairlanes/Torinos are the carryover Fairlane/Mustang which uses the 75-80 Granada type spindle (Versailles has a bigger ball joint stud).
72 and later Torinos and the 77-79 mid size TBirds/LTD II are a frame type chassis with heavier components. Sorry, I wish that I knew if they fit. I do know that these are often used on the 56 cars.
Don't forget the 73-78 Big cars F-L-M had 5 on 5 bolt patterns. no -no

I do mostly unibody Fairlanes and just now branching into old Galaxies, too. I need discs for a 60 Galaxie.
