Ford Lightning The Lightning is based on the short-wheelbase, standard cab, flareside, two-wheel drive version of the F-150; in other words, the littlest one. Under the hood goes a 5.4-liter SOHC V-8, suitably pumped up with a supercharger and intercooler, and cranking out a not-inconsiderable 380 horsepower at 4,750 rpm and 450 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,250 rpm.

hey ive got a 98 f-150 flareside and im looking to convert it to a lightning. have you found any places to buy parts for a lightning?

If you have a 5.4 litter V8, I have a 2001 complete exhaust system (used). It doesn't have any leaks. I'll part with for $200 or so not including shipping. I had 26,000 mile on it when I took it off.
