Ford LTD The LTD designation is considered by some an abbreviation of "Luxury Trim Decor" and by others as a limited body style classification for the Galaxie. There is evidence that it originally stood for "Lincoln Type Design." It was to be called the Galaxie 500 LTD, in reference to the introduction of the Chevrolet Caprice and the similar Dodge Monaco and Polara.

Default '86 LITTLE LTD - where's the dang FUSE PANEL hid???

I have LOOKED carefully under BOTH sides of the dash and in the engine compartment and can't find it, WTF! Chiltons Professional manual says "located near the parking brake mechanism, well BS to that!!

This is, I swear, the FIRST TIME EVER I haven't been able to find the dang fuse panel in a vehicle!!! Another one of Ford's "better ideas"????

Default Fuse panel.

Hey man, did'nt anybody answer your question?? That's messed up! Well, I have a 1985 LTD LX, it's the mid-size Fox body or "little LTD". On my 1985 car the fuse box is in the dash, on the left, and slightly beneath the steering column. It is behind a trim panel, and it is just to the right of the headlight switch. Hope that helps, I would have answered faster, but just joined yesterday. Good luck with your LTD! Desert Dale

Hi,
I just answered another post about fuse box in LTD too. I have a 1984 small LTD and I cannot find mine either! I guess I have to take part of the dashboard off to get to it, is that right? Thanks,

CG

C'mon Cincy, pull that panel under the steering column. It is the panel that your knees ( well, my knees for sure...) bump into. Couple screws from the bottom. Don't make me come out there......

A cry of help to any owner of a small LTD wagon.(also Cougar, Mrquis & Granada)

I have an '82 Granada wagon and I am in need of the black covers for the exterior of the upper hinges of the tailgate wagon.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
TJ in GB
