Ford LTD The LTD designation is considered by some an abbreviation of "Luxury Trim Decor" and by others as a limited body style classification for the Galaxie. There is evidence that it originally stood for "Lincoln Type Design." It was to be called the Galaxie 500 LTD, in reference to the introduction of the Chevrolet Caprice and the similar Dodge Monaco and Polara.

Default Need C4 shift linkage info

Hey, would anyone here have leads on locating a shift linkage bellcrank for a '79 Panther-chassis LTD with a C4 transmission? I kept my C4 when stripping my old rustbucket '79, but didn't realize until I was installing it into my new '81 LTD (original AOD car) that I'd forgotten this key piece of hardware.

Even info on what might have interchanged with a C4 Panther (truck, barge-body LTD, Comet, whatever) would be very much appreciated!

Call your local wrecking yard and ask them what fits what.
