Ford Mustang The Mustang remains one of the most widely recognized, respected, and desired nameplates in the automobile business. The Ford Mustang defined the pony-car segment in 1964; Plymouth's Barracuda may have beaten Ford to the showroom by 16 days, but it was the Mustang that set the sales records. The 'Cuda is gone now leaving Ford's pony to prance alone.

I'd bet your gonna need 429 mounts. Also the bellhousings are different for the 429/460 from the 289/302/351w/351c.

you will need different motor mounts the small block sits in differently than the big block will. I know this problem all to well i am having to look for motor mounts for a 351m because ford never put one in a 88 convertable. good luck with the motor swap.

I belive the 351m/400 use the same mounts as the 429/460?

Not to be to picky but why would you swap a 351m into anything?
