| 1969 Mustang breaks are locking up please help Hi i have a 1969 mustang i am currently restoring. It has a 351W 4bbl, The front breaks keep getting tighter and tighter until they just lock up. They are drum breaks and at first i thought it was the springs because they were original so i replaced the springs on both of them. It still does this I dont have a clue what it is, i know they are auto adjusting breaks so can someone throw some ideas at me???? Thanks |

| Are you positive everything is on correctly? It sounds like a problem with the auto adjuster tightening incorrectly each time after applying the brakes until the linings are pushed against the drums. I'm not sure what would cause that though.

| During restoration could your brake components have been changed side to side? The adjusters work when you back up and apply the brakes, if they have been swapped side to side they will adjust going forward instead each time you press the brake. |
