| Broken locator arm mounting point 1985 LX V-8
Without question I am trying to get by by driving an unsafe vehicle. The locating point for the right rear locator arm (rear axle) has rotted away and even the softest application of the gas pedal causes the vehicle to change directions.
Right now this is my only form of transportation because of employment problems so I need a serious idea as to if repairs can be made and how much it might cost to have someone go into the floor pan and replace the mount/locating position?
I find it VERY HARD to work on that are of the car on the driveway using only jackstands, the vehicle needs to be higher in the air. That means I am limited to pulling the exhauset pipe that is in the way but not the rubber bushings in the control arm, etc.
Because of $$$ I am limited to riding the city bus, which doesn't go to where the jobs are located or trying to sell the car for parts in hopes of being able to purchase another vehilce with what I get for the Mustang.
Any suggestions? |
