I would suggest getting Ford Racing`s kits for the conversion. They are economically priced and simple. They offer a 5 lug rotors, and 5 lug axles/brake drums.

was there any cars that had the same size rotors,axels and drums with five lugs a friend of mine works at a part store and might be able to get them for me?
someone told me that two right side axels and drums from a Ranger would work but I would like to confirm that.
I've had heard that too, I'm pretty sure that works.

You could go there and try making a search, If you join I reccomend NOT telling them your working on an 88, they are kinda hard headed about only talking about 79-86 cars.

The ranger thing works. You can also use all the equipment from a 5 lug lincon from the 80's that's how i am doing mine. just like if you ever wan't to upgrade to a 9in you can find some lincons that had 9in that are direct bolt in.
I heard the dust caps can't be used when using certain ford wheels with these rotors, is this true? Which wheels can be used with no issues??? I have an 88 5.0 and want 5 lugs and want to use original ford wheels , something in a 17 or 18 inche. I also want the dust caps to fit. Any info would be a great help.
You can use Lincoln Mark VII front rotors, they will fit right on your spindles, or use 94+ Mustang spindles and brakes.
For the rear you can use two driver's side axles from a '83 to '92 4 cylinder or 3.0L V6 Ranger/Bronco II with a 7.5" rear end. Or two 86-97 Aerostar passenger side axles.
The axles are all the same so they can be mix-matched (i.e. - one driver's side axle from a Ranger and one passenger side axle from an Aerostar).
cheapest is to use the ranger axles. and the 94-98 v6 or v8 front spindles with brakes. the driver side hose will hook directly to fox cars. and the passenger side has to have a adapter fitting. u can get it from advance. part number 327828.1 3/16 x 1/4
i did my whole conversion for 140 thats with the brake fluid, gear oil, and adapter fitting.
