Default 94 Ford Escort 1.9

Ive put cold air intake and a muffler on it. Its fast for an escort with just those two things but i want to turbo it, i know its been done.

Can anyone tell me where to get a kit or the parts for the turbo

All stuff I seen for an Escort were all custom made. They are all cost prohibitive in my opinion, Is a turbo on an Escort really worth putting on it if the Turbo kit costs more than the car? Plan on spending about $4000.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

Cost doesnt matter to me, i have two cars, one as the daily driver the other for fun, so putting thousands of dollars in a project car is worth it to me

Find an Import speed shop near you, they can make a kit for your car.

Since you are close to California you will find lots of places that are more than qualified to handle this type of work. Too bad you are doing it to an Escort though, them engines are garbage compared to any Import out there.

escorts arent that bad, but not much in the aftermarket for them especially the 1.9. some sites you could check out are Ford Escort Owners Association
ERDTOnline Redirect, please wait...
Performance parts and info. for Ford Escort SPI, Escort ZX2 and Ford Focus SPI and Zetec.

swap a bp ot of a protege into it, you can probably get it a a scrap yard for 500-800 bucks then buy a miata turbo manifold and boost it. theres a local guy here in idaho getting 350 hp out of a bpt in a festiva

the bp in a protege is the same thing as what ford used in the 91-96 escort Gt, just a diff valve cover. the swap is possible but for most people not probable, you need almost a complete donor car for best results. the most straight forward swap for 91-96 Lx is a 2.0 from 97 and newer scort (not the zetec from a zx2).
