Default Restoration advice

I have a 352 big block bored to a 390 and would like to know if i should bore higher or not and maybe a little more advice on the preformance of making this to be a high preformance engine. the block is the original 390 from a 1963 thunderbird i have the entire 390 ready to run setup but want to beef it up more to kick some ass at the races.

Well, if you bore a 352 block to 4.050 which would be .050" bigger than factory, you are to the bore of the 390, however you will still need the 3.78 stroke crankshaft of the 390 along with the rods and pistons for a 390. With the 3.5 stroke crank the 352 has you are probably around 357-360 cubic inches.

Personally I wouldn't bore it over anymore.
