Question How do i increase my gas milage more?

Ive got a 1994 F-150 with a 5.8L 351W. I get around 11-12 mpg. Since i got it i have added a few things that i heard would help, and if they did its a very small difference. Ive put on E-3 plugs, performance plug wires, new distributer cap and rotor button, K&N air filter, new auxilary air filter, High flow steel core Cat, High flow afterburner exaust, and i even put a bed cap on it for less drag! Is there anything else that i can do? Does any of the things that ive done so far make a difference?

It is a V8!
Sits high off the road.
Has large tires.
And really it is like throwing a brick in a Tornado.

Best I can say is keep your foot out of the LOUD PEDAL.
Judging from your photo under your logon name - Ease UP!

I am not knocking you just thought I would at least answer your message.
Have you thought about getting a smaller truck?

Pump your tires up to the maximum on the sidewall, remove your cap, spare tire and tailgate and everything in the bed.

It might get you 1 or 2 mpg.

Go gently on the skinny.
Don't accellerate to the stop light, rather coast as soon as you see it turn red.
Try to not come to a full stop, so start stopping further away.
WHen in heavy traffic, give an extra couple of car lengths between you and the car in front. See if you can manage to almost never hit the brake. There are times that the guy in front of me will hit his brake 12 times for each time that I hit mine.

Periodically check for codes even if you do not have a CEL on.
My cel was not on, but I had a faulty TPS.

Maybe get your injectors cleaned at a garage with the proper equipment.

Here's a thread on how to pull codes on 1984 -1995 Ford bronco's and F series trucks without any special equipment

+1 on removing the junk from the trunk and put down the tailgate....don't gun it at lights and keep the tires inflated properly....unfortunately you are at a higher center of gravity and also the truck weighs more which means it will cost more in gas

Everything you added except for the bed cover eats up MPG unless you keep your foot off the gas, like that is gonna happen. A good tune up with stock parts would have made the same increase in MPG as the expensive HP parts you added.

Removing the tailgate is a Myth, Mythbusters found out having the tailgate up actually increases MPG.

Pumping up the tires over the suggested pressure that is stated in the door jamb will actually decrease MPG and make the center of your tires wear out a lot faster than the rest of the tread. A very expensive way to ruin a set of tires.

You started with the wrong type of vehicle to save gas on.
