Talking 351 Windsor Heads!!

Hey guys, i was just wondering, how easy would it be to port out some stock heads and put in some bigger valves? Does it work good to do this? Any tips on doing it? And also, what would be the best heads to use as a base to start doing this to? I don't have the extra money to put into cylinder heads, but if i did this port work, how much horsepower could i get from them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
