Lifting a 2WD 1971 F100...

Hello all.
I'm thinking about taking our old farm truck and "rednecking" it out.

First off, I'm completely inexperienced with "lifting" a vehicle, so bear with me as I've only done a little research.

I want to lift it, but it looks like there are two ways to go. Either a suspension lift or a body lift. A body lift looks (relatively) cheap and easy while the suspension lift looks to be more expensive and in-depth.

Since this is mostly about looks, I'm leaning towards the body lift. Here's my problems/questions about this:
1. By doing a body lift, is it possible that I will actually weaken the suspension and cause damage as I drive around the fields?
2. I've been looking at lift kits (for both options) and can't seem to find anything for 2WD. Everything for the '71 is for 4WD. Has anyone seen anything specific for a '71 2WD? Does it really matter?

i don't think it really matters if it's 4 or 2wd. and no, a body lift kit ain't gonna hurt it. just hafta remember yer center-o-gravity will be higher so you can't turn going very quick at all and you gotta watch how much of an incline your crossing. that is the only difference with a lift. go for the body lift but not any higher than 2 or 3 inches. go more than that and it startes to look really dumb. any more qs let me know
