Ford Pick-Up Ford Pickup Trucks - 1948 thru 1979 1948 was the year that Ford introduced the "F" prefix for use in designating the load capacity of its lighter duty trucks. The 1/2 ton was called an F-1, the 3/4 ton truck was referred to as an F-2 and the F-3 designation meant a one ton carrying capacity Pickup. The "F" series continued through F-8 for heavy duty trucks.

Question Smoke
Hey everyone. I will have a 1995 F150 with the 5.8 next thursday. When it starts, there is a huge cloud of smoke... It seens to be oil burning. Do you have any suggestions as to what to look for, or anything else you need to know to diagnose this problem?
