Ford Pick-Up Ford Pickup Trucks - 1948 thru 1979 1948 was the year that Ford introduced the "F" prefix for use in designating the load capacity of its lighter duty trucks. The 1/2 ton was called an F-1, the 3/4 ton truck was referred to as an F-2 and the F-3 designation meant a one ton carrying capacity Pickup. The "F" series continued through F-8 for heavy duty trucks.

after taken off the exhaust metal heat deverter shield I found a damaged exhaust manifold

so I did a lot of research on the ford forums(Fordsix Performance) and decided to upgrade. I was going to run her as is, single carb., stock intake and exhaust manifolds, but the manifold changed my mind. EFI exhaust manifolds they say greatly increase the engine flow...so I got a pair of 1986 EFI exhaust manifolds from ebay-$48.99 delivered.
The intake manifold netted a lot of research..I came up with an Offenhauser Dual Port...carb. 2bbl. or 4bbl.,not sure at the moment.....same with ignition up grades...still have more research to do......here is how she looks now...
