Replacing Cargo Box

"New here!! Saying Hello to all!... Owner, 1981 pick-up ,(short box). As some of you know the boxes rot out past reasonable repair.and I financiallly cannot afford a "new box" replacement. However I have seen some owners go the "treated wood" box route.I know that this choice is much cheaper .Is this a difficult project to entertain or should I try an alternate direction?

Hello dude, In most areas of this country there are wonderfull places called U-pull it yards. I have seen many good deals on pickup beds that need very little or no work. I myself have bought 3 or 4 and have never paid more than $100 for one.To build nice wooden one, you would spend at least that much on good pressure treated wood. Hope this helps
