 Fusible Link
I am hopping someone can help me, I have been looking online and in repair manuals but I am not able to find the fusible link for my 1988 Bronco II, the repair manual shows there to be two but does not show where they are located. When I got the truck all the wiring was messed up, it is an old police truck and they felt it necessary to redesign the wiring schematic. I have got the dash rewired and made sure that all was working as is supposed to and even the fuse in the dash for the alternator is good. When I got the truck, the plug on the back of the alternator (not the voltage regulator plug but the other one) was melted to the alternator. I have since then replaced the alternator with a new one and the plug making sure the connection is secure and there is continuity in the lines. So basically I have narrowed it down to the fusible links. I am going to replace both of the links when I can find them. Please Help. |
